In early adulthood, I struggled with food issues - what I was eating, how much and quality. With new found freedom came as much fast food as I wanted! It didn't take long for me to put on weight year after year. With my sisters destination wedding on the horizon (and the thought of being in a swimsuit!), I realized it was time for me to be comfortable in my own skin. I lost 20 pounds by introducing healthy options into my diet, and with small lifestyle changes managed to keep it off. Years later, I watched the documentary "Forks Over Knives" and quickly decided to become vegetarian. As the years went on, I realized that my body was not responding well to dairy, and so my lifestyle evolved into plant-based eating. My journey has been eye opening and I continue to grow as I learn how to balance life with all its curveballs. Today, with my holistic health coach certification, my passion is helping people make small changes to feel their best physically and love themselves wholeheartedly.
